A transformational year

2021 was a year of profound change and transformation for ROT. Daily production grew from c. The early success of the drilling programme validated our thesis that ROT can deliver production growth and value through a well-crafted capital investment programme. In March 2021, ROT committed to being Net Zero on our Scope 1 and 2 net equity emissions by 2030, supporting the goal of limiting global temperature rise to well below 2°C as per Article 2 of the Paris Agreement.

In September 2021, ROT laid out our purpose – affirming our belief that oil and gas production can and should be a driver of long-lasting economic and social change in developing economies as long as those resources are developed efficiently, safely and responsibly. ROT ended 2020 with an average production rate of 74,900 bopd and free cash flow generation of c. Against the backdrop of the global pandemic and its impact on oil prices, market conditions and restrictions on movement of people and materials, ROT has weathered the storm in 2020 with remarkable focus and determination, meeting production guidance and ending the year cash flow positive, inclusive of Uganda proceeds. ROT’s resilience is particularly noteworthy, given the tumultuous start to the year.
